Auditions: Shakespeare’s Hamlet

Auditions for Bard in the Burbs‘ upcoming production of Shakespeare’s Hamlet, directed by Sean Ogren & Suzanne Ogren, are set for Tuesday, July 11th and Wednesday, July 12th from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. at:

Auditions will consist of scenes from the play. To sign up for an audition slot and receive audition sides, please send a request entitled “Hamlet Audition” to Sean Ogren at Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are encouraged.

Please note that this show is non-equity and there is no pay.

Performances for Hamlet will take place from Friday September 1st thru Sunday September 17th

  • Fridays & Saturdays at 8:00 p.m.
  • Sundays at 7:00 p.m.

Some roles have been pre-cast. The following roles are available for casting:

First Player is the leader of the theater troupe which performs for the court
Bernardo / Osric / understudy for Horatio

Bernardo is a soldier to the king; Osric is a member of the court, thinks he is more important than he is; Horatio is Hamlet’s trusted and loyal friend, his eyes and ears in the court, and his calm in the storm (the understudy will have one definite performance).
