Audition Notice: Bard in the Burbs Announces its Return with Shakespeare in Love!

Actors and Musicians are needed for Bard in the Burbs‘ upcoming production of Shakespeare in Love: The Play, directed by Peter Lemongelli & Sean Ogren and stage-managed by Michelle Ho.

Auditions are set for Sunday, July 31st and Monday, August 1st from 6:30pm to 9:30pm, with callbacks Tuesday, August 2nd @ 6:30pm at:

Please note that this show is non-equity and there is no pay.

Performances for Shakespeare in Love: The Play will take place from Friday, September 23rd thru Sunday, October 2nd:

  • Fridays & Saturdays at 8:00 p.m.
  • Sundays at 7:00 p.m.

Rehearsals will begin on Sunday, August 7th and be held Sunday thru Thursday evenings, with one night off depending on availability of the rehearsal space.

Auditions and callbacks will start at 6:30pm for all actors and consist of scenes from the play. Sides and an official audition form will be emailed starting one week prior to auditions. To sign up for auditions:

  • Please send an audition request email titled “Shakespeare in Love Audition” to auditions@bardintheburbs.org
  • Include a headshot and resume with your request
  • Please let us know a preferred day (Sunday, July 31st or Monday, August 1st) for your audition
